These inserts are designed to be added to our reusable cloth pocket nappies, behind the microfibre insert, to provide an absorbency boost.
They may also be used instead of the microfibre insert, particularly when the nappy is on the smallest two settings.
They will require soaking overnight and washing through a complete wash cycle before using for the first time to help them reach their full absorbency. Note: This may take up to 8 washes.
Bamboo terry holds about 3 times its weight in fluid but it has a much slower absorbency rate to microfibre. Pairing the bamboo terry insert with the microfibre insert is a great option for boosting, particularly at night when bubs output tends to be greater (for some).

Bamboo fabric is sometimes referred as "cashmere from plants" as it is so soft against the skin with a beautiful sheen. The bamboo fibres contain a natural substance called bamboo kun that protects the plant from pathogens and pests, making it naturally anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. It has been shown in laboratory testing that even after 50 washes bamboo fibres continue to have the same levels of anti-bacterial properties. So cool!
Bamboo fabrics will maintain their special qualities when washed in cold to warm water (up to 40 degrees Celsius) with a gentle detergent, free of bleach.
